Amy Breen is a research assistant professor at the UA Scenarios Network for Alaska and Arctic Planning.
Amy’s research interests include the history, evolution and distribution of northern floras. She has studied the impacts of climate change on arctic plant communities for over a decade. Her postdoctoral research aims to assess the impact of disturbance and climate change on the invasion of arctic tundra by trees and shrubs.
Amy holds a B.A. (1994) in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic, M.S. (2000) in Biological Sciences from University of Missouri Columbia and Ph.D. (2010) in Botany from University of Alaska Fairbanks.
